With high-density option

The 2905 laser film digitizer is an advanced image scanner engineered to read radiographic films and convert them into high-quality digital data. Using precision laser technology, the 2905 accurately scans even the densest film areas with exceptional speed and clarity.
With a USB 2.0 interface for high-speed data transfer, the 2905 integrates seamlessly into modern workflows. Optional features include an auto feeder capable of processing up to 100 films of varying sizes, and a roll film adapter for 100mm-wide continuous films.
When paired with included scanning software, the system supports DICOM/DICONDE communication for sending images to servers, and can create high-quality digital duplicates using a DICOM imager, streamlining archival and distribution processes.
Engineered for precision, built for reliability

The critical factor in film digitization is the ability to reproduce dark, high-density areas. The 2905 film digitizer features a wide dynamic range supporting optical densities up to 4.3 OD (or 4.7 OD with the high-density option), excelling in gradation reproduction.
Laser technology minimizes noise in high-density regions, accurately capturing subtle gradations that CCD-based scanners struggle with. The internal 14-bit A/D converter delivers 16,384 gradations with linear optical density for natural, detailed tones.
Pixel spacing: 50 μm to 2,000 μm in 1 μm increments
Evaluated by Germany's BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) in 2003 after rigorous testing. Recognized as the world's first DS9-grade film digitizer with the high-density option (DB9-grade with standard configuration).
Scan a half-size film (14" x 17") in approximately 6 seconds at 200 μm resolution in standard mode. Noticeably faster than CCD-based digitizers, maximizing productivity without compromising quality.
Supports long films such as 14" x 42" and special-sized films (up to 364mm short side). Optional auto feeder processes up to 100 films of different sizes in a single batch, or allows single-sheet manual scanning.
Optional scanning software enables seamless communication with DICOM and DICONDE image servers. Create high-quality, full-size digital duplicates using a DICOM imager, or use Copy Mode for duplication without server transmission.
